Seat Belts
Keep your child in a booster seat until they are at least 9 years old or have reached the height of 145cm (4'9").
Once your child is using a vehicle seat belt, make sure it:
- Fits comfortably over the child’s shoulder
- Across their chest
- Sits low over their hips
Remember:
- If the shoulder belt rubs against the child’s neck, they may need to remain in a booster seat
- Never place a shoulder belt behind a child's back or under their arm
- Keep children 12 years old and under secured in the back seat
