BCAA FireSmart Initiative

As wildfires become more frequent and intense in British Columbia, we are doing even more to increase wildfire resilience across all parts of the province by investing $250,000 annually into wildfire prevention & preparedness with FireSmart BC.

The BCAA FireSmart Initiative will address three key areas to help tackle different barriers on a community’s roadmap to wildfire preparedness:

Our partnership will also focus on the growth and success of FireSmart's Home Partners Program – a research based and proven solution to significantly lower property wildfire risk. Owners can request a FREE home assessment with property-specific actions they can take to protect their home from wildfire – plus be eligible for a discount on BCAA Home Insurance*.
