How it works
E-bike sharing just got easier with Evolve. Find an e-bike nearby, unlock, inspect, and hit the road. Ride as long as you like, just return the e-bike to any Evolve Parking Zone. Evolve is currently operating in Nanaimo, Comox Valley, Whistler, SFU Burnaby Campus and New Westminster, and is available for private businesses across Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

01 / Sign up
Simply fill in the online registration form, and you’re ready to roll. Tip: Select “e-bike share only” to sign up faster if you don’t need car share.

02 / Find an e-bike
You can find available e-bikes in your Evo App, or simply walk up to one at a Parking Zone.

03 / Unlock & inspect
Evolve is at your fingertips. Remotely access and unlock an e-bike right from your smartphone. Make sure it's in good condition by reporting any damage before hopping on and hitting the road.

04 / Safety first
Wear a helmet when you ride. You can find a helmet in the basket of every Evolve E-Bike. (Plus, wearing a helmet is the law). To help keep you and other road users safe, always use hand signals.

05 / Make a stopover
Need to make a stop? Hit ‘Stopover’ in the app to lock your bike so you know Evolve will be there for you when you get back.

06 / Park easily
Leave Evolve (just about) anywhere. Look for any approved Evolve Parking Zone in your app and end your trip by selecting ‘End trip’. Yep, It’s just that easy!

07 / No-riding zones
While Evolve can go up to 25km/h, there are no-riding zones around town. These areas are highlighted in red in the Evo App and will automatically reduce your speed to ensure the safety of all road users. Check your speed anytime on the e-bike display screen.
