BCAA SMALL BUSINESS INSURANCE

BCAA Business insurance protects your business from various hazards that could threaten your operations. Our product can be tailored to your business's needs to ensure you are getting the protection you need.

Insurance provides you with peace of mind and protects you in the event of circumstances such as theft, fire, or a lawsuit. While you can operate your business without Insurance, it is sometimes required by customers, partners or financial institutions. Each business has unique risks associated with business operations, and small business insurance covers costs related to claims or lawsuits that may otherwise threaten your business’s survival.

Every business is unique. That's why the online quote tool can understand business operations and the risks the company is exposed to. Based on this information, the tool makes relevant coverage recommendations to explore further. But there are unique situations, and sometimes it's best to explore options with a small business advisor by calling 1.888.268.2222.

Commercial liability insurance protects you and your business if you’re found responsible for damage or injury. Common payments under general liability coverage are for bodily injury, lost wages, medical bills, replacement costs, or repairs—as well as the legal expenses, to defend the case. BCAA small business insurance also offers Tenants Legal Liability Insurance, which protects your business in the case of unintentional damage to a rented building. Optional liability coverages available and include Forest Fire Expenses, Limited Pollution Liability (120 hrs.), Rip & Tear Insurance, and Condo Unit Owner’s Contingent Liability Insurance.

It’s best to be certain as often homeowner policies specifically exclude coverage for business operations. Furthermore, there could be gaps in the coverage that could leave your business exposed, such as business interruption insurance. Our home-based business package is specifically designed as a basic commercial insurance add-on to an existing homeowner’s policy so that your business is sufficiently protected in the event of liability or property losses.

You can get a free quote online by answering questions about your business and location(s). Based on your answers, we’ll recommend relevant coverages to protect your business from the unique risks it may face. Your quote will be valid for 30 days and you can come back later to complete your purchase if necessary.

If you would prefer the human touch, call 1.888.268.2222 and our small business advisors can provide you with a free quote over the phone.

At this time there is no discount for bundling your personal and business insurance with BCAA, however you can get up to 10% off your policy with a personal membership number.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We offer several options to pay for your small business insurance policy. You can pay by credit card or by bank withdrawal and can choose either a lump sum payment or monthly installments (includes 4% administrative fee).

To lower your policy premium, you can speak to a small business advisor about the following:

  • Increasing your deductibles (i.e., your share of the cost of a claim)
  • Buying a BCAA membership to save up to 10% on the price of your premium
  • If you have a property, getting a monitored alarm system
  • Avoid making unnecessary claims to get the claims-free discount

Your policy may be tax deductible, but please contact your accountant for any advice or further questions relating to tax purposes.

You have flexibility in updating your payment method as well as the date that your payment goes out. Whether changing from credit card to bank withdrawal or between credit cards or bank accounts, you can make these changes by calling one of our Small Business Advisors at 1.888.268.2222, and we will be happy to help you.

If you got a notification of failed payment due to inaccurate credit card or bank account information, you will need to update your payment information. You can speak with a small business advisor by calling 1.888.268.2222.

If your notification of failed payment was due to insufficient funds, we will need to receive that payment as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted coverage. Please call us at 1.888.268.2222 and our small business advisors will help you with this over the phone.

We look forward to continuing to be your insurance provider; however, if we do not receive payment, we will need to send a notification regarding cancellation next steps.
